No wonder Nara is only RM80. She's sick. Bad case of runny nose, discharges from eyes, flaky skin around her mouth and scruffy ears. Jay immediately called a few vets near our home.

Melawati Urban Veterinary Clinic : Ditto.

Hope/Anicare Veterinary Clinic : Nobody picked up.

Our last hope is Dr. S Vellayan. He was the Zoo Negara veterinarian. Jay found his number in one of Lowyat.net's vet forum. She gave a call and the doctor said that he could handle hedgehog. Alhamdulillah.

On 29/02/2012, she brought Nara in for a checkup. So yeah, basically the doctor lectured Jay on the proper way to care for hedgehogs. No wood decoration, wood shaving or whatsoever. Never feed cat/dog food as an only meal. Hedgehogs MUST have veges and/or fruits. All the usuall things. Both Nara and me were scheduled for a visit on14th March 2012 for their annual check up :D

Here is Nara's medicine. The small bottle is her Calcium. Given orally by using a syringe around 0.3ml. The big bottle is 'Something' Syrup. Jay can't really decipher the doctor's handwriting. xD And the yellow thingy is Dextrose. Jay has to mix half a teaspoon of Dextrose with 1.5ml of the syrup and a little bit of honey into Nara's water bottle. Its the cure for her runny nose and problem eyes i think. The doctor also give Nara a mite shot and a few pamphlets. So total is RM40. Quite cheap for an exotic pet as he didn't charge for his consultation. ^^ I really hope Nara will be okay soon.
